Could you be our representative in the planned care board?

We currently have a role open for a Voluntary and Community Sector Representative on the Planned Care Board. The VCS representatives will have an important role raising VCS issues in an effective way.
The programme is about:

  • Transforming and joining up health and social care services around people to better meet their needs and ensure they have the healthiest lives possible
  • Supporting people to take a more active role in their own health and in shaping future services
  • Making the most of the joint knowledge, expertise and resources available in Hackney and City by working together
  • Tailoring services to the unique needs of the respective diverse communities in Hackney and City

These are some of the main aims of the Planned Care Board, and the full text of aims can be found here

  • Deliver mandated targets on IAPT (access, recovery, 6wk and 18wk waiting times, Quality Premium target on improving recovery for BAME groups and access for over 65s)

  • Institute a review programme for all current outpatient pathways

  • The workstream will need to develop a system action plan to take forward the ‘big ticket’ item relating to housing

  • Improve care for those with Learning Disabilities

RSV seeking volunteers for new project

About

ACTIVE AGEING VOLUNTEER: Can you help to reduce the growth of frequent callers to the London Ambulance service, some of whom are frequent fallers and homebound.

You should be interested in fitness or leading a healthy lifestyle and want to motivate others to regain physical function and achieve goals. You will visit clients at their homes and work on a one-on-one basis to teach and supervise a home exercise program. You will also provide basic diet/hydration information and signpost to other resources. Ongoing support is provided by project coordinator.

In return RSV are looking for a minimum of 6 months commitment of about 1.5 to 2 hours weekly. More hours are available if interested.

You will be expected to attend 2 days of full training. No prior experience necessary.

Hackney Play Association is looking for experienced playworkers to develop high quality youth services at local adventure playgrounds.

This is an exciting opportunity, working with a steering group of young people to develop, create and deliver new open access play and youth services.

Hackney Play Association is a charity that provides play and youth opportunities for children from some of the most disadvantaged communities in East London. We run Homerton Grove Adventure Playground, Pearson Street Adventure Playground and Clapton Park estate project.  We are looking for experienced playworkers who can support all aspects of play service development and delivery.

The posts will be based at:

  • Clapton Park Youth Project, 3 Pedro Street, London E5 0BD
  • Homerton Grove Adventure Playground, Wardle Street, London E9 6BX
  • Pearson Street Adventure Playground, 28 Pearson St, London E2 8JD.
